This tells my story as a Portlander. It is very personal, and surreal to watch a few years after I made it (having moved away). I love Portland deeply, and it is hard to accept that we grew apart.
I worked way too long on this. Storyboarding and scripting and just going out in to Portland to get the tastiest B-Roll I could possibly muster.
This one is… weird lol. It’s really mostly a cinematography showcase. If you want to see the bulk of the good cinematography, skip to 3:30.
Shot by my friend, Everett Nathan Yockey. Edit by yours truly.

It has been used in lectures in universities, and it was featured at length in No Film School. To really internalize the scope and brain breaking nature of this project, you should just click the link to read my explanation.
my short form works feel the most playful and ambitious and poignant to me. This is just a friendly reminder to stop by over there. It will do a lot to give you a better picture of what I do when I am being really unhinged and playful :)
